Gerald E. Lancour Sr.

Gerald was born in Baraga on January 24, 1958, son of the late Donald Linne and Margaret St. Germain. He grew up in the Baraga area before enlisting and serving in the United States Army. Following Geralds honorable discharge, he returned to the UP where he operated his own construction business.

Gerald was a member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians. He loved fishing and most notably ice hockey, being a life long NMU Wildcat Hockey fan.

Gerald is survived by wife- Teresa Dickinson, 3 children- Marcia Johnson, Gerald (JJ) Lancour Jr., Christopher (Ashley) Lancour, sister- Margaret Long, 5 grandchildren- McKenzie Lancour, Hailey (Mark) Stracener, Lillian Lancour, Alex Lancour, Weston Lancour, 2 great grandchildren- Elden and Eleanor Stracener, step daughter- Tiffany (Josh May) Maley, step granddaughter- Kaitlyn Maley, step great grandchildren- Dewey and Emmie, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Scott Haanpaa, and grandson- Jacob Johnson.

Following Gerald’s wishes cremation will take place with interment to take place in the Humboldt Township Cemetery.
