June M. Larsh

ISHPEMING, MI- June M. Larsh, age 71, of 15725 Co Rd 482 in Tilden Twp. passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024, while in the loving care of her family, U.P. Home Health and Hospice and staff at the Trillium House in Marquette.

June was born in Hancock, MI on June 11, 1952, a daughter of the late Lempi E. (Ohtonen) Heikkinen and Elmer R. Wiinikka. June grew up in the South Entry area of the Portage Canal and was a graduate of the Chassell High School and attended cosmetology school in Grand Rapids. During her working career she served as a Pharmacy Technician and then as a bookkeeper at the West Ishpeming Snyder Drug Store for a total of 28 years. June was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming.

June was a private individual, who had a love of reading. She was at peace in the outdoors especially when it was near a body of water or pedaling a bike. She cherished her family most of all and actively supported her grandchildren’s, nieces and nephews sporting events.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Alan M. Larsh. whom she married on April 22, 1983, two daughters, Tina (Dale) Stanaway-Green and Monique Beauchamp, two sons Tony Ruotsi and Mathieu Larsh, grandchildren, Cory, Devin, Dylan, Morgan, Abby, Matthias, great grandchildren, Oaklynn and David, three sisters, Barbara Raffaelli, Diane (Bud) Lincus and Kathleen Pearson, brothers-in-law, William (Jodee) Larsh, Larry (Kim) Larsh, David (Stacey) Larsh, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Henry Heikkinen and in-laws, William and Theresa Larsh.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 – 11:00am on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00am on Friday with Rev. Tim Johnston to officiate.
