Janet H. Farless

She was born January 25, 1938 in Ishpeming, Michigan to the late Toivo Maki and Inga Maki.

Janet was a free spirit and deeply faithful. She lived a full and eclectic life. She was an artist and traveler. She lived for family and was surrounded by them to the end. Janet was a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Janet is survived by her children, Anna Sebree of Bloomington, IN, Spring Farless of Monroe, WA, John Farless and Peace Farless, both of Evansville; grandchildren, Brenn, Luca, Brydan, Patience, Kennedy, Gabriel, Noah and Kylee; sister, Ellida Maki; brother, William (Bill) Maki; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dana Farless, and her son, Paul Kauppila.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m.to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at All Saints Parish-St. Anthony Church, 704 N. First Ave., Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Father Stephen Lintzenich officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery
