Dana Lynn Bolduc

GWINN, MI – Dana Lynn Bolduc, 36, of Gwinn, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband, her best friend Bridget, her pets, and her family, after her courageous battle with cancer on May 21, 2024.

Dana was born in Marquette on September 8, 1987 to Mick and Vicky Laituri. Dana stayed around the Marquette area as a child to enjoy dance class, cheerleading, time with friends, and loving any animal that crossed her path. Dana attended MSHS before putting in several years of hard work at the Casa Calabria and Bayshore Vet. She had a passion for helping other people.

She attended Northern Michigan University to earn Bachelors of Science in Nursing earning several achievement awards, and worked as a registered nurse for 5 years. She enjoyed working as a pacu/pre op nurse, making great friendships throughout the years. She pursued her Doctorate in Nursing at NMU while working to become “Dana Bolduc DNP, FNP-C,” a certified family nurse practitioner in the urology department at UPHS, cherished by all of her co-workers and patients.

Dana met the love of her life, Josh Bolduc in 2010. Josh and Dana would spend the next several years making memories and growing their furry family with any animal Dana could convince Josh of getting, baby birds being their latest adoption. Excited for new adventure the couple married in May of 2014 where they would find themselves traveling, finding new hobbies, supporting each other through long work hours, doing whatever workout Dana was pushing for that month and simply enjoying each others company while being the best of friends. In 2021 they found themselves buying their dream home on Noren Lake and enjoying those next three years together making beautiful memories with one another, their pets and family on their property while watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets over their perfect lake, just how Josh and Dana always dreamed.

Dana had the softest spot for her fur babies. Smokey, Bandit, Maple and Leaf, along with many other animals she cared for throughout her life. No matter what the animal needed, Dana was right there ready to give her helping hand to care and love them.

Dana loved every single child in her life. She loved being there for them whenever they needed her, she loved fair adventures and making every holiday so special for them.

Dana loved being on the running trails, walking with her dogs, participating in marathons with friends, enjoying her mother-in-laws camp with a blanket next to the warm fire place, baking sweets, snacking on her favorite treats, drinking coffee on her deck, ordering any and all of her favorite clothes, sunglasses, shoes, or jackets online, and floating on her lake listening to the silly singing of her husband.

While Dana was taken from her husband and family all too soon, she will always be remembered for her strength, her knowledge, her silliness, her ambition, her smile, and her contagious kindness. We’ll always imagine her as the beautiful soul she is. Dana’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Dana was preceded in death by her smokey girl; grandma and grandpa Laituri; grandma & grandpa Lanyon; grandparents, Cal & Joan Zorza; uncle, Vern L’Huillier.
