Vicki Lynn Sibley

Vicki L. Sibley

GWINN, MI – Vicki Lynn (Armatti) Sibley, age 72, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 6, 2024, surrounded by the comfort of her family at Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Vicki was born on June 19, 1951, to Battista and Edith (Storti) Armatti, and was one of seven Armatti children. She was a graduate of Gwinn High School Class of 1969. Vicki married George Sibley on September 23, 1978.

Throughout her life Vicki worked at Peterson’s restaurant, Rosie’s Pizzeria, Porky’s Party Store, Larry’s Family Foods, and Jerry’s Wilderness Room, where she was always affectionately known as the singing waitress. Making patrons laugh as she sang their order in her boisterous voice, and always laughing and joking with all those around her.

Vicki was always 100% herself, had an overwhelming welcoming personality and was a best friend to all those who loved her so dearly. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, taking long car rides, going to craft shows, having midnight snacks and cooking. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to our dear Auntie Vicki but can now know she is no longer suffering and is singing loudly amongst the angels. She will be dearly missed but with her huge heart, endless laughter, and memorable personality, she truly made this world a better place.

Vicki is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Sibley, her sister Tisha (Georg) Keefer, her brother James (Tara) Armatti, sister-in-law Jean Armatti, many nieces and nephews, and her great-niece, Heidi Lesh whom she shared a special bond.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Thomas and Secondina Sibley, her brothers, Jerry, Neil, Patrick and Daniel Armatti, her sister-in law Louise Armatti, her niece Terri Armatti, her nephew Aaron Armatti, and her great-nephew Tristan Armatti.

There will be a celebration of Vicki’s life, with an open house on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Up North Lodge Event Center, 215 South Co. Rd. 557 Gwinn, MI 49841.
