Lois M. Allen

Lois was born in Negaunee on September 6, 1933, daughter of the late Carl and Mary (Strom) Knight. She was a graduate of Sault Ste. Marie High School, and met her husband of over 50 years while Russell was stationed in Kincheloe while serving in the United States Air Force.

Lois was a member of the CB radio club, she loved camping, gardening, her animals, was an avid Packer fan, and enjoyed travelling to Louisiana to visit Russell’s family.

Lois is survived by her daughter- Mary Holmes, daughter-in-law- Coleen Allen, 10 grandchildren- Amber Holmes, Nick Holmes, Heather (Muttie) Larson, Steven Schaffer, Chris Schaffer, Derrick Allen, Jason Allen, Michelle Beil, Travis Allen, Courtney Allen, several great grandchildren, and her special friend- Theresa Sihtala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Russell Allen Sr., 3 children- Carl Allen, Desiree Schaffer, Russell Allen Jr., and her birth mother- Cecilia Cote.

Following Lois’ wishes, cremation will take place with no services scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to UPAWS in memory of Lois.

Lois’ family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility, and Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Lois.
