Born on March 10, 1950, in Kokomo, Indiana, David’s journey of life took him from his birthplace to Marquette, Michigan, where he was raised and attended Marquette Senior High School.

After high school, David’s passion for music led him to play with local bands, marking the start of a dynamic career as a self-employed musician. His talent shone brightly as part of bands like Riders of the Seany Stretch, Bill Etton and the Heritage Band famous for their song “We Go Green Bay” and “Da Yoopers,” where he capped off his music career in the late 1990s. His gift for melody and rhythm was so profound that he even played for a halftime show during a Packers game, a testament to his musical prowess.

Beyond the stage lights and cheering crowds, David’s dedication to his family was unwavering. He was a pillar of strength and support, raising his children while also caring for his mother. His love for the outdoors and travel reflected his adventurous spirit, always seeking new horizons and experiences. David’s kindness extended beyond his family, touching the lives of those around him, notably when he advocated for the residents of the Jansen House, ensuring their right to rent books and media from the Peter White Public Library.

David’s time as an accomplished cameraman at TV 6 during the ’80s and ’90s captured moments of history and joy for countless viewers. His comical wit and infectious humor brought smiles to faces, while his resilience and toughness proved he could weather any storm.

His legacy is carried on by his loving children: Jason Bradbury of Ever Green Colorado, Julie Bradbury of Marquette MI, Travis (Katelin) Bradbury of Marquette MI, and Ashley (Tyler) Timler of Eau Claire WI. David’s life was further enriched by his significant other, Irene Bradbury, of Ever Green Colorado, and his seven cherished grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jared Bradbury, and his brothers John Bradbury and Norman Bradbury. His absence leaves a void in the tapestry of the many lives he touched, but the melodies of his life’s song will resonate in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
