ISHPEMING, MI – David L. Palmer, age 78, longtime Ishpeming resident, passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at the Trillium Hospice House in Marquette, while in the loving care of his family and UP Home Health and Hospice.
David was born in Ishpeming on March 17, 1946, son of the late Floyd and Dorothy (Bond) Palmer. He grew up in Ishpeming, and graduated from Ishpeming High School with the class of 1964. David worked as a carpenter many years.
David loved going to camp, deer hunting, and playing in the Ishpeming Cribbage League. He will be fondly remembered for the love he had for all of his dogs over the years.
David is survived by his longtime companion- Carol Palmer, 2 sisters- Marilyn Argall and Kathy West, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 siblings- Marjorie Sanchez-Palmer, Doug Palmer, Beverly Nelson, and Virginia Koivola.
Following David’s wishes, cremation will take place with a family graveside service to be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
