Bruce R. Sheldon
WEEKI WACHEE, FL- Bruce R. Sheldon, age 77, of Weeki Wachee, Florida, formerly from Negaunee, MI, passed away on February 27th, 2024, at the Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville, FL, following a long illness.
He was born in Marquette, Mi and was a 1964 graduate of Bishop Baraga High School, Class of 1964. He worked for the Michigan Laborers Union, followed by the Michigan Carpenters Union. He served in the United States Marine Corp in Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife Suzanne (Hakala), son Shane (Melissa), brother Jack, sister Mary, grandchildren Jamie, Shelby, Reese, Ronin; and great grandchildren Tyrone and Lucas. He is preceded in death by his parents William J. and Viola B. (Gentz) Sheldon, son Randy; brothers Bill, Don, sister Marie, sister-in-law Rachel, and brother-in-law Dale and sister-in-law BarbTalus.
A small Celebration of Life was held at the Tim and Kathy Helmuth residence in Brooksville, Fl.
A full obituary and Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a date and place to be determined this summer.
