Alex Duquette

He was born February 21, 2001, in Marquette, a son of Daniel J. Duquette and Rebecca E. A. Snyder. He was a 2019 graduate of Negaunee High School and was currently attending NMU studying indoor agriculture.

Alex had been employed at Johnny’s Corner Store, Super One Foods and New York Deli.

He was a lifelong hockey player and enjoyed cooking and spending time in the outdoors. He enjoyed his life and was looking forward to his future. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Alex is survived by his parents, Daniel Duquette of Marquette and Rebecca Snyder of Republic; beloved brother, Tripp Lofaro of Republic; grandparents, Patricia (Sandy Vanwormer) Nadeau of Marquette and Duke & Ruth Snyder of Munising; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; two faithful pet companions, Jake & Lyla; lifelong best friend, Brayden Velmer of Negaunee.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Duquette; a sister, Vanessa; and cousin, Tyler Garrow.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
