ISHPEMING, MI – Rosanne Marie Anderson, age 84, longtime Ishpeming resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Teal Lake Senior Living Community in Negaunee where she had resided for the past year.
Rosanne was born in Ishpeming on August 9, 1939, a daughter of the late Mary (Bertucci) and Exavier “Jerry” Racine. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School Class of 1957 and attended secretarial school in Milwaukee, WI. Rosanne married the late Paul L. Anderson on October 17, 1959, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. Rosanne worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the Ishpeming Public Schools for over 20 years. In her later years she did volunteer work at the Ishpeming Senior Center.
Rosanne was truly proud of her family, and they were the center of her universe. She always looked forward to Monday night card club and trips to Green Bay. Rosanne was an avid Ishpeming Hematite fan and was awarded with the “fan of the year” award. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a member of the Ishpeming Fire Dept. auxiliary.
Rosanne is survived by three daughters, Cindi (John) Roose, Wendy (Dennis) Manzoline and Kris (Glenn Grigg) Anderson all of Ishpeming, 9 grandchildren – Michelle (Corey Schultz) Roose, Jamee (Jake) Gobert, Jennifer (Levi) Hietikko, Jesica (Trevor) Morrison, Nicholas Manzoline, Melanee (Marcus) Maddock, Andrew (Emily) Manzoline, James Grigg and Eric Nowak; 13 great grandchildren – Lilllee (Jerek), Ava, Kholey, Daniel, Violet, Miller, Milo, Nathaniel, Caroline, Arlo, Leon, Archie, Lowen, a great great grandson Theo, 2 sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; special cousins – Shirley Beauchaine and Mare Gray and lifelong friend Lois Goethe.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 2015 and a great granddaughter Kinzy Hietikko in 2009.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM with Rev. Fr. Ryan Ford officiating. The Mass will be livestreamed at ishpemingcatholic.com Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery Columbarium.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Teal Lake Senior Living Community for their kind and compassionate care of Rosanne this past year.
