MARQUETTE, MI – Donna L. Carello, 69, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Friday, March 1st, 2024 at UP Health System-Marquette following an illness.
Donna was born in Marquette, Michigan on Sunday, March 28th, 1954 to loving parents, Francis D. and Lilly F. (Francis) Grimsby.
Donna was a dedicated LPN at the former Marquette General Hospital, who touched the lives of many with her kind and compassionate care. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will be forever cherished. Her interests included quilt making, collecting and shopping at garage and estate sales.
Donna is survived by her husband, Rocco V. Carello, Jr.; her daughter, Pamela Louise Carello; her sons, Thomas Neal Carello and Rocco Jason Carello; her sisters, Theresa Elizabeth Grimsby, Fay Joy Shannon and Ruth Ann Grimsby; and her grandchildren, Nik and Tim Vormberge.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on March 12, 2024 at 2 pm at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Gregory Heikkala officiating, following visitation from 12:30 pm until the time of the service.
