Paul W. Carlson

Paul was born on February 22, 1949 in Marquette, MI to Earl and Harriett (Bergh) Carlson. He was a graduate of Marquette Senior High School.

Paul married the former Helen A. Baggiore on June 14, 1969 and together they established their home and raised their daughter, Ann.

Paul worked as a carpet installer for Earl’s Carpet Shop in Marquette for many years until he became a sporting goods salesman for Lindquist Outdoor Sports in Marquette and Adventure Centre Arctic Cat at the Crossroads.

Paul enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also had a love for motorcycles. He was a member of the Negaunee Rod & Gun Club.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Ann (Jeff Mattson) Carlson of Felch, MI; grand-daughter, Kailey (Victor Porter) Cootware of Menominee, MI; great-grandchildren; his siblings, Earl (Sharon) Carlson, Judy Carlson, Jay (Cheryl) Carlson, Ross (Brenda) Carlson and Tina (Fred) Schoenhofer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; and his brother, Jon Carlson.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 2 until 4 pm.
