Kathleen M. Harrison

Kathy was born on March 22, 1941 in Mt. Clemens, MI to George and Mary (Tack) Miller. She was the oldest of 10 children making sure that each of her siblings had a new outfit with shoes for school.

Kathy met her husband in Houghton Lake, MI while fishing for muskie. They married and raised 3 children. She taught her children honesty and respect the elders. Above that she taught her children to help others and to be kind. Even in her last days she apologized and thanked every person who came in contact with her.

Surviving are her 3 children- Melody Morgan of Lake City, MI, Michael (Pam) Harrison of Southgate, MI, and Michelle (Mary) Harrison of Ishpeming, MI, granddaughter- Katie, and grandson- Lennox. 8 of her brothers and sisters are also surviving. She was preceded in death by her husband- Kenneth, parents- George and Mary Miller, and sisters- Georgina and Sharon.

The family would like to thank the Marquette County Medical Care Facility 300 wing and rehab, especially Sherry Fredin who went above her job description to comfort Mom.

A very special heartfelt thank you to Mary Jane Anderson who was Mom’s caregiver for 2 and a half years. Mom considered Mary Jane a true friend. Angela Johnson for Home Communion. Also a thank you to Bell Hospital Staff, EMS Transport, UP Home Health and Hospice, and everyone who came in contact with Mom.
