Walter C. Devonshire
MESA, AZ – Walter C. Devonshire (Wally) 86 years young a resident of Mesa, Arizona passed away on October 9, 2023. Born in Marquette, Michigan April 23, 1937, the son of Charles and Florence. He was preceded in death by both Mom, Dad, two sisters, Charlene and Jill, and one brother, Tom.
He is survived by four sisters, Patricia, Nancy, Karen and Judy, and one brother, Jim and many nieces and nephews.
Wally was actively involved in his church and helping his neighbors. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners and a supporter of the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Wally served his country as a Navy Seabee and was a member of the Marquette local United Association of Plumbers and Pipe-fitters.
Walter’s remains will be laid to rest at the Devonshire family plot during a graveside memorial to be scheduled for the spring of 2024 at the Marquette Park Cemetery.
