Todd A. Wiik
GWINN, MI – Todd A. Wiik unexpectedly left this physical world on December 5th, 2023, in search of a peaceful place full of joy and comfort. The youngest of 3 children, he was born September 6th, 1969, to Roxanne (Sandbank) and Roger Wiik.
He was a graduate of Westwood High School class of 1987. After high school he entered the United States Air Force. When he returned home, he was employed with the United States Postal Service for several decades.
Todd always had great jokes and stories and had a laugh that invited others to join. He was an avid Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and University of Michigan fan. When he wasn’t swearing at the Packers or heckling their fans, you could find him at camp spending time hunting and fishing while rocking to heavy metal. His two “favorite Meeces” (nieces) will fondly remember him taking them outdoors hunting, fishing, and crashing dirt bikes and atvs.
He is survived by his older siblings Michael Wiik and Kristine (David) McDonnell, nieces Megan McDonnell (David Brinich), Kelsey (Adam) Book, great niece, and nephew Maiya and Aiden Book, uncle Raymond Wiik and several cousins who wish he had shared his famous jambalaya recipe. He is also survived by his loyal canine companion, Pepper, who forgave him for all the birds he had missed throughout the years but carries on his lavish and picky eating habits.
Proceeding him in death are his mother Roxanne (Sandbank) and Roger Wiik along with several aunts and uncles.
Todd lived his life authentically and unapologetically and would most certainly dislike any sort of obituary (sorry bro). Honoring his wishes, there will be no public service and arrangements will take place at a later date.
The family would like to take a moment to thank the Detroit Lions for getting their heads in the game this season and giving Todd good reason to heckle opposing team fans.
