Robert W. Anderson

Robert was born November 12, 1932, in Ishpeming, Michigan, to the late Otto and Andrea (Johnson) Anderson. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a Past Faithful Navigator in Michigan. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired as a District Manager from Michigan Bell. Robert was a very dedicated volunteer in his church and the Knights of Columbus and supported Priestly vocations. One of his favorite loves was playing golf with his boys.

He married Mary Frances “Sedlock” Anderson on January 14, 1956, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Patrick (Julie) Anderson of Clinton Township, Michigan, Mark (Caitriona) Anderson of San Francisco, California; daughter, Anne Marie (David) Beckett of Fort Wayne; brother, Louis Anderson of Gladstone, Michigan; three grandsons, Erik (Emily) Anderson, Robert (Lynn) Beckett, Ryan Anderson; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Joshua) Getto; Great-grandchildren; Eleanor, Lyle, Philip, Ada Jane, Rosalie, Thomas, Hannah. Robert was preceded in death by his grandchild Matthew Anderson, brother, Raymond Anderson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm, Monday, January 1, 2024, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road Fort Wayne, Indiana, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also, Sunday, December 31, 2023, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, Rosary will be recited at 2:24pm, with Knights of Columbus Memorial at 5:45pm. Burial will be in Saint Vincent Catholic Church Cemetery.
