Larry J. LeBoeuf

BARK RIVER, MI – Larry J. LeBoeuf, 74, of Bark River, passed away on Thursday morning, December 7, 2023 at Cedar Hill Assisted Living.

He was born on October 5, 1949 in Marinette, WI, son to Jerome A. and Julanne M. (Erickson) LeBoeuf. Larry spent his formative years in Iron Mountain and moved to Marquette as an adolescent. While in Marquette he attended John D. Pierce and the newly opened Marquette Senior High School, but could not resist hot rodding down Ludington Street and finished his senior year at Bark River-Harris High School, residing with his grandparents (Algot and Ruth Erickson). He graduated in 1968.

After high school, Larry served in the National Guard for six years, and attended Northern Michigan University graduating with a degree in Industrial Arts.

Larry turned his education and passion into his own business, and proudly owned and operated his trucking and excavation company L&J LeBoeuf for several years. Following an early retirement Larry spent his time enjoying quiet solitude, reading, dreaming of spending time on Daytona Beach again, and planning his next loader purchase.

Among survivors include his father, Jerome A. LeBoeuf; three children, Kevin (Danielle) LeBoeuf of Bark River, Jerome (Meghan) LeBoeuf of Marquette, and Laura (Patrick Horner) LeBoeuf of Midland, MI; grandchildren, Brendan, Allen (Brianna Gieryk) and Anna LeBoeuf; great grandson, Onyx LeBoeuf; siblings, Dennis (Liming Jing), Mark (Claudia Hart) LeBoeuf, and Mike LeBoeuf; and nieces and nephews.

Larry was a brave man, stubbornly determined, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Graveside services will take place at the Bark River Twp. Cemetery in the spring.

A special thank you to his aunt and uncle (Donna and Leonard Erickson) for taking Larry into their home for many years, to Emmons Adult Foster Care where Larry resided for three years, and, for Larry’s most recent years, to the wonderful care of Cedar Hill Assisted Living. The love and care that was given to Larry will always be appreciated.
