Emil August Maslo Jr.

He was born June 18, 1948 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Emil and Alma Martin Maslo. Emil served for 20 years in the Air Force, including two tours in Vietnam. He also served as a State of Michigan corrections officer and retired after over 20 years of service. He was also a graduate of Northern Michigan University. In his free time, Emil was an outdoor enthusiast and loved fishing, hunting and camping.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lois Ann Maslo; son, Paul B. Maslo (wife Launa and children Siah and Emilia August Maslo); daughter, Emily A. Safii (Maslo) (husband Sepehr and son Skyler Safii); and two stepsons, James M. Magas and John C. Magas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard L. Maslo and Carl Maslo; and two sisters, Elaine Manack and Martha Maslo.

No visitation will be held and services will be private.
