Karen Susan Bergh

Born October 7, 1933, in Marquette, a daughter of Dr. Hjalmer and Linnea (Anderson) Bergh, Karen was a lifelong Marquette resident. At the age of four, Karen became disabled due to an automobile accident. Within her abilities, she attended the local elementary and high school. Karen had many interests. She enjoyed playing the piano, learned how to knit and weave, and in their later years helped care for her parents. For many years, she crafted numerous dish cloths for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and made lap robes for the residents of the Jacobetti Home for Veterans. She enjoyed being of service to others.

Karen is survived by her sister, Nancy McCombie of Marquette; sister-in-law, Ruth Bergh of Lower Michigan; nephews and nieces, Thomas (Debbie) McCombie, Michael McCombie, Erik (Kathy) Bergh, Kristine (Michael) Ounan, and Diane (Steven) Warfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Bergh; and a niece, Beth Bergh.

Friends may call at Messiah Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 5, beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Rev. Molly Hunter will officiate. Interment will follow at the Park Cemetery.
