Verona Joy Sherbinow

Verona was born June 19, 1937, in Thompson, a daughter of John and Violet (Plaunt) Kalbfleisch. When she was three and a half years old, her mother died and the family moved to Marquette where she was raised. She grew up in downtown Marquette and later at the former Piqua Location. She attended Graveraet High School and, years later, attended night school with her sister, Jacqualine, where they both received their GED’s. Among her work experiences were working at the Vaneer Plant and Munising Wood Products at the Piqua Location. She then began a 20 year employment with the Ramada Inn in their Housekeeping Department, retiring in 2003. Among her hobbies and special interests were her enjoyment at making puzzles and adult coloring.

Verona is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Faye Rodriguez and Jacqualine (the late George) Smith; and her brother, John Kalbfleisch.

Honoring her request, no services will be scheduled.
