MARQUETTE, MI – Kathy Jo Hollemans, 68, of Marquette, died peacefully, Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at her home, with family by her side. Our beautiful mom was carried to heaven like Cinderella while we buzzed around her like the birds and mice. There are no words for the individual sacrifices and authentic loving guidance and support provided to us while she was under the care of Drs. Chris and Jennifer Dehlin, Dr. Ellie Barker, all their loving staff at Singletrack Health and especially the angels at Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice, we thank you.
She was born July 24, 1955, in Grand Rapids, MI, a daughter of the late Frederick and Clairene L. (Brott) Debri. Mumma, Mom, Mas, Jo, Auntie, Aunt Kathy, Sissysue, Sissy, Kathy Jo, Gram Gram, Grammy noticed honored and loved all those around her selflessly without restraint and without condition, it is something so genuine that no one was immune to her moments of magic and shenanigans.
She is survived by her children, Tracie (Brad) Cavitt of Elkhorn, NE, Janell (Ross) Luchtenburg of Ada, MI and Billy (Brad) Hollemans of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Olivia and Elizabeth; her “favorite” sister, Lori (Rick) Greenleaf of Marquette; nieces and nephews, Lani (George) Cobb of Clovis, NM, Lauralee (Dan) Clement of Marquette and Jesse (Ruby) Greenleaf of Chippewa Falls, WI; great-nieces & nephews, George, Jeremiah, Lauren, Wyatt, Ella and Adrian; her many friends of which there are far too many, her besties, Jackie (Larry) Bulson, Vicki (Gary) Plowman, Mary Hanson and her grandson, Ronan AND “The People”, all her Cherry Creek Peeps countless others whose lives will forever be touched by her soul and spirit.
Honoring Kathy’s wishes, no services will be held.
Memorial contributions in Kathy’s name can be directed to Lake Superior Hospice.
