Ann Marie Helen “Annie” Kind

Born January 12, 1940, in Negaunee, a daughter of Fred and Elvira (Wickstrom) Delarye, everyone called her “Annie”. Annie was raised in Negaunee where, she attended the local schools. Her working career began at Jack’s IGA in Marquette, continued with Festival Foods, and concluded at Super One Foods where she was employed as a baker, retiring with over 40 years of service.

In 1956, Annie was united in marriage to Patrick Kind and together the couple established their home in Marquette, where they raised their family.

They had been married for 57 years, when Patrick passed away in 2014. Annie enjoyed spending time with her family, loved antiquing, going to thrift stores and an occasional trip to the casino, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

Annie is survived by her children, Donnie (Kathy) Kind of Ironwood, Lori Fassbender of Marquette, and Billy (Ruth) Kind of Arizona; her brother, Davie (Marion) Delarye of Big Bay; son-in-law, Glenn Peterson of Skandia; six grandchildren, Bille Jo (Roger) Heggaton of Negaunee, Glennie Peterson of Negaunee, Breanna (Vincent) Butler of Connecticut, Michael (Ashlee) Kind of Marquette, Ashley (Justin) Bingham of Arizona, Madison Kind of Massachusetts; ten great-grandchildren, Trevor and Kylie Heggaton, Natalie, Madison and Hayden Meyers, Elsie and Leo Kind, Banks Butler, Emmett and Liam Bingham; two great- great-grandkids, Jayse and Jaxton Vorase and her feline companion, Fee.

In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Kind; a daughter, Debbie Peterson; a granddaughter, Danielle Fassbender; and a brother, Donald Delarye.

Honoring the wishes of the family, no public services will be held.
