GWINN, MI – Abraham William Lincoln 81, known as “Abe” to his friends, died peacefully Friday evening, September 15, 2023, at his home while under the care of UP Home Health Hospice and family.
He was born October 11, 1941 in Boulder, Colorado, son of Charles W. and Inez (Sutherlund) Lincoln.
Abe served in the US Air Force for 22 years, first as a historian then as a jet engine technician.
Following his service, Abe and a few of his friends started a aircraft maintenance and repair company at the former KI Sawyer AFB where they became known as BAI, Boreal Aviation, Inc.
He had a great life and traveled the world.
Now he can rest and reunite with his beloved wife, Juana, who passed away April 5, 2021.
He wishes his son Fabian a great life and is survived by his sister, Sally, her husband, Ronold Palmer of Florida, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great- great-nieces and nephews.
