Raymond Larson

Ray was born July 15, 1941 in Negaunee to Arne and Christine (Manzoline) Larson and attended Negaunee Public Schools.

Ray moved to Chicago where he began is his career with Honeywell for ten years, before relocating to East Lansing where he worked with General Motors as a sheet metal worker, retiring in 1997 with over 30 years of service with GM.

In his spare time, Ray was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish, and also enjoyed gardening and working on old cars. Though he lived in East Lansing for over 50 years, he always considered the UP his home. He and his beloved wife, Maxine enjoyed taking occasional trips to the casino.

Surviving are his two brothers, Michael (Sandy) Larson of Holt, MI and James (Linda) Larson of Negaunee; sister-in-law, Phyllis Larson of Laingsburg, MI; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine Larson; and two brothers, Robert and Ronald Larson.

Honoring Ray’s wishes, no public services will be held. Burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery.
