Pam Caron

GWINN, MI – Pamela Ann Caron, age 56, of Gwinn passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at home.

Pam was born in Marquette, Michigan, to Bruce and Patricia Kivela on November 27, 1966. She was a 1985 graduate of Marquette High School, years she reflected on fondly. In 1987, Pam started dating the love of her life, Glenn Caron, whom she married in February 1990. She also took over ownership of Tots-n-Tykes children’s resale clothing store during this time, where she worked for nearly three decades. After her retirement from Tots-n-Tykes, she worked at the Coachlight Restaurant in Marquette. Pam loved chatting with the patrons, getting to know the regulars, and truly looked forward to every day she spent waitressing.

Pam loved many things during her lifetime. Cooking, baking, and showing her love through food was always one of the greatest pleasures in her life. If Pammy knew you, you received some of the best Christmas cookies you’d ever taste, including her “world famous” buckeyes. She loved to take care of others and had the most selfless heart. Family gatherings were also one of her biggest joys. Spending time with her mother, Pat, and the rest of the crew, was what Pam looked forward to most. Especially the holidays, Thanksgiving being her favorite (I think this was because we always celebrated her birthday at this time and she really liked turkey. But only the dark meat!) Pam also loved the Green Bay Packers and adored going to Lambeau Field with her husband, Glenn. She loved animals wholeheartedly and had many throughout her life, all of which made her family feel complete. But most of all, she loved her daughters. Ashley, Macey and Chelsey were the lights of her life; only to be semi-replaced by her beautiful grandchildren! She loved her family fiercely and her friends dearly, of which she had many.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Ashley Kivela; mother, Patricia Kivela; father, Bruce Kivela; brother, John Kivela; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Caron. She is survived by her daughter, Macey Grund and her husband, Samuel; daughter, Chelsey Markle and her husband, Jonathan; grandchildren, Gavin, Roslin, and Landin Grund, Westley and Elias Markle, Josie and Brynn Logghe, and Addison Cox; sister, Kris Kivela and her partner Gale Knight; brother, Kevin Kivela and his wife Kristin Vernon; step-mother, Sandy Kivela; half-brother, Rob Kivela; half-sister, Wendy Bollenberg; father-in-law, Glenn Caron Sr; mother-in-law, Eva Caron; sister-in-law, Sandy Kivela; sister-in-law, Rachael Caron; sister-in-law, Melissa (Steve) Pascoe; brother-in-law, Daniel (Alice) Caron; lifelong friend, Kim Hanchek; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
