MARQUETTE, MI – Judith A. “Judy” (LaBlue-Carter) Webb, 80, of Marquette, died peacefully Monday afternoon, August 7, 2023, at UPHS – Marquette, surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.

She was born on December 26, 1942, to Lowell and Corrine (Cleary) LaBlue in Marquette. Judy was a proud mother of 9 children and enjoyed spending time with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren. They were the light of her life.

Judy lived all her life in Marquette and was a graduate of Graveraet High School’s class of 1960. She also attended NMU for four years with a focus on education. She married Robert “Bob” Webb on December 31, 1973, and together they combined their children into a family of nine. After that, there was never a silent moment in the house.

She was also a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, as well as, the Marquette Co. Genealogy Society. She loved to research not only her own heritage, but those around her as well. She would spend hours reviewing family history books and searching online for that next great discovery of a long lost relative. She also participated in coordinating class reunions for the Graveraet class of 1960 since her graduation.

Judy’s truly favorite place to be was the family camp on East Bass Lake. She often said she would live there year-round if she could. She enjoyed swimming, kayaking, entertaining the family, and spending time with her special friend Bella, a beautiful wild Swan that frequently visited Judy at camp.
