Jayson Kotewa

Jayson was born June 7, 1976 in Marquette, graduated from Gwinn High School, and was a lifelong area resident.

He worked as a farmhand for many years, and was a logger and skidder for D’Angelo Custom Cutting. He married, Julie Kirkwood, on October 15, 2011 and together they made their home in Gwinn.

In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, and had numerous friends who he enjoyed being with.

Surviving are his loving wife of 11 years, Julie Kotewa; his son, Gabriel Kotewa; his mother, Terry Kotewa; mother-in-law, Joyce Kirkwood; two brothers, Albert and Michael Kotewa; brother-in-law, Daniel (Sheri) Kirkwood; his nephew, Philip Kirkwood; niece, Eleanor Kirkwood and his dogs, Tank and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his father, and father-in-law.

Honoring his wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
