Abby (Hanson) Liberty

Abby was a generous, vivacious, and inspiring woman. Her unique and loving personality instantly drew people to her, making them want to be a part of her life. She developed lifelong friendships which brought her enormous joy. She had an adventurous spirit, seeking out all kinds of activities, giving freely of her time and self, and loving with all her heart. Family was her top priority, always. Smiling and laughing were a part of her that will be missed immensely by all who knew her.

Abby grew up in Shoreview, Minnesota, and graduated from Mounds View High School. She attended college at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. She enjoyed a successful career in sales, making many friends through her time with Office Depot and Grainger.

Abby met her husband, Ross, on an airplane during a business trip. They were married in Marquette, Michigan, in 2012 and as a family they enjoyed all the activities the Upper Peninsula has to offer. She leaves behind a loving legacy in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is survived by husband, Ross; sons, Odin and Rasmus; parents, Diane and Brent Hanson; sisters, Sarah Hanson, Emily Serrano (Joseph); nieces Luca and Zara Serrano; and her in-laws, Dan and Julie Liberty, Brad Liberty, Lindsay Liberty, Ana Liberty (Brad Hogfoss) and nephew, Von Hogfoss.

A celebration of life is planned for Monday, August 28 at the Presque Isle Pavilion in Marquette from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and on Saturday, September 9, at Sarah Hanson’s, 7133 Logan Ave S., Richfield, Minnesota, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
