Tracie L.(Symons) Blazei

Tracie was born September 30, 1971, in Ishpeming, Michigan, to Ellen (Olson) Symons and the late Michael Symons. Tracie grew up in Ishpeming and attended Ishpeming schools, graduating in 1989. Tracie served in the US Army Reserves from 1989-1995. She attended NMU graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science in 1998. Tracie worked for the former Marquette General Hospital, moving to Green Bay in 2000. There Tracie worked for Prevea Health as a Lab Supervisor until the time of her death.

Tracie loved spending time with her family in the UP especially at the family camp. In her free time she loved to crochet and craft making candles for ‘Tracie Made’. Tracie was the family planner, planning many family weekends and vacations. She was always behind the camera capturing these precious moments. Tracie married Dennis Blazei on December 2, 2000. Her proudest achievement was being the mother to Ryan (2001) and Morgan (2005).

She is survived by Dennis and their children; Ryan and Morgan Blazei, her mother; Ellen (Dave Poirier) Symons of Marquette, sister; Michele (John Toyra) Pszanka of Appleton, Mary (Scott) Sampeer of Marquette, brother; Jeremy (Melissa) Symons of Negaunee, grandmother; Marion Olson of Ishpeming, her loving nieces; Caylie (Scott Anderson) Pszanka of DePere and Jillian Symons of Negaunee and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. Also surviving are her stepmother; Marianne Novotny and brother; Sean (Ashley) Symons and their children; Calvin and Ayla.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather; Arthur ‘Jerry’ Olson (2004), her aunt; Wendy Olson (1989) and her aunt; Diane Olson (2019).

A private family service will be held.
