Tim Kangas
SUOMI LOCATION, MI – Tim Joe Kangas, 57, longtime Suomi Location resident, passed away early Thursday morning, July 27, 2023, following a short battle with cancer.
Tim was born March 20, 1966 in Ishpeming, to Robert and Marilyn (Durant) Kangas and graduated from Negaunee High School. He was a hard worker, jack-of-all-trades and a long-time welder.
Tim enjoyed hunting and fishing, working with horses, was a fan of heavy rock music and liked to party and have a good time. He lived life the way he wanted.
Surviving are his brother, Charles (Lisa) Kangas of Negaunee Township; three nieces: Elisa (Russell) Card of Waukesha, WI, Tashina (David Bellomy) Kallioinen of Columbus, OH, and Jessica (Nate) Chaperon of Negaunee Township; nephews, Matthew Kangas of Calumet and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathy and brothers, Mark and Todd.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 1st, at Koskey Funeral Home.
Interment will take place in Bakkala Cemetery.
