Justin J. “JJ” or “Woody” Wood

Justin was born in Ishpeming, Michigan, on January 3, 2006. He attended Westwood High School and was currently employed at Jubilee Foods in Ishpeming.

JJ enjoyed wrenching on his truck, watching his cousin Matt offroad race, snowmobiling, and riding side by sides. Some other favorite hobbies of JJ were hunting, gaming on his Xbox, and hanging out with his friends.

JJ is survived by his father; Robert (Carrie) Wood, his mother; Lisa Uhl (Tyson) Smith, two sisters; Livvie (fiance; Donald Denofre) Wood and Adalyn Wood, his maternal grandmother; Joyce Uhl, close friend; Gavin Johnson, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Richard and Nancy Wood, and maternal grandfather; Ralph Uhl Sr.

A time to celebrate Justin’s life will be held from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm on Monday, July 17, 2023, at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home and at 3:00 pm will be a time to share memories and stories. Casual attire is requested.

Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Gavin Johnson, Donald Denofre, Matt Wood, Tyler Solomon, Isiah Wood, and Brayden Manley.
