Michael Alan Greer

Mike Greer, son of Russ and Carol Greer, passed away at Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee, Michigan. He is finally at peace after struggling with complications with diabetes.

He is survived by his son; Patrick (Erin Chadwick), his brother; Tim, his sisters; Kim (Tim) Daugharty and Pat (Gary) Koontz.

Mike was a lifelong musician, and craftsman. He will be remembered for his countless innovations and achievements as a flutemaker.

He had a lengthy tenure in Boston working for some of the most prestigious companies, and designed flutes for many renowned artists. He retired to Marquette the city he called home in 2013 as a proud alumnus of NMU, and a veteran of the United States Army. He loved anything he could do outdoors, especially camping and skiing. When indoors, his knowledge and passion for film were unrivaled. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, from Michigan to Massachusetts.

Honoring his request, no services will be scheduled.
