Mary T. Neuman

Mary was born in Ishpeming, on August 26, 1922, a daughter of the late Teresa (Stagliano) and Gaetano Palazzolo. She attended the Ishpeming public schools through the 11th Grade and then graduated later through night school, which she was proud of.

Mary had worked briefly at the HW Gossard Co. in Ishpeming. She was an exceptional cook and baker as a homemaker to her six children, always attending to their needs. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and had a cherished collection of rosaries. She enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Rita Neuman of Houston, TX and Teresa “Terri” Neuman of San Antonio, TX, four sons, Francis Neuman, of Ishpeming, John (Diane) Neuman of Champion, David (Virginia) Neuman of Hazelhurst, WI and George (Karen) Neuman of Holland; her grandchildren, Heather Neuman, Kevin Neuman, Paul Neuman, Sarah Kendrick, William Kendrick, Jason Garcia, Justin Garcia, Jeremy Garcia, Amanda Neuman, Jessica Irvine, Wesley Neuman, Maggie Neuman; along with 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Neuman, three brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law Jan Neuman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
