Anna Marie (Kosonen) Lawrence

She earned a teaching degree from Northern Michigan University and traveled with three friends to the Metro Detroit area to begin her teaching career in PreK and Elementary education for the Warren Consolidated School District. Teaching was her passion and she taught various grade levels and hundreds of students over her 35 year career with the district. Among her other hobbies in life were gardening, spending time in nature, birdwatching and solving word and number puzzles every day. She also enjoyed getting together with her various social groups such as her dear Weber friends, who started meeting each month beginning in the 1960’s. Anna Marie was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Warren, where she met her best friend, Lynn. Her deeply felt compassion, love, kindness and generosity for others touched countless lives and will now live on in our memories of her.

Anna Marie was the beloved wife of Edward, loving mother of William (Elaine), Daniel (Monica) and Kathleen Lawrence, adored grandmother of Charlotte, David, Vivian, Bliss, Summer and Skye., dear sister of Susan, Lorraine, William and Mary Lou, supportive and loving auntie to 11 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews and doting cat mom to Misty.

Future burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery to be determined.
