Sharon Lynn Puuri
MT. PLEASANT, MI – Ishpeming native, Sharon Lynn Puuri, 44, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family Sat. May 13th, at McLaren Hospital in Flint, MI.
Sharon graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1996. Later she earned her Cosmetology license after successfully completing NMU’s Cosmetology Program in 2004.
She was a talented hairdresser who was well known for her artistry in hair braiding.
Sharon is survived by her four children: Brandon Santamore of GA, Tabor, Tashon, and Talyse Edgecomb of AL one grandson, Khi’Son Edgecomb of AL, mother and stepfather: Linda and Michael Williamson of Mt Pleasant, MI, 4 brothers: Jason (Holene) Congdon of Negaunee, MI, Levi (Audrey) Puuri of Harvey, MI, Michael and Robert Puuri of Hancock, MI, one sister: Tina Puuri of N. Carolina, one stepsister: Jacoba Williamson of Ypsilanti, MI, two grandmothers: Sharon Berryman of Hancock, MI and Marie Blakeman of Atlantic Mine, MI, as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
She is proceeded in death by her father: Michael Puuri, four grandfathers: Gordon Berryman, Dallas Blakeman, Gordon Congdon, and Robert Puuri, and an uncle: Scott Congdon.
Sharon was a free spirit and a beautiful soul who was always smiling. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her as she was taken way too soon.
