CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI – Larry Michael Fosco, age 66, of Chocolay Township, entered eternal life Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, at UP Health System – Marquette.

Born December 10th, 1956, in Marquette, a son of Emanuel and Karine (Koivala) Fosco, Larry was raised in Marquette and attended the local schools. In 1974, Larry enlisted in the US Navy and upon his honorable discharge returned to Marquette. He joined the Laborers Union in 1980 and began a long career with Jim Letts Drywall, where he was employed until his retirement in 2011. In 1984, Larry was united in marriage to Susan Rivord and together the couple raised two children. Larry loved carpentry and was a skilled and accomplished carpenter who enjoyed using his talents working on his home and especially his camp. Larry loved his camp, spent much time there, and enjoyed entertaining family and friends there. His other pursuits included buying and selling things, four wheeling in his side-by-side, buying, fixing, and reselling cars. Family and friends were his world and he especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. He was generous with his time and talent and would help anyone that needed assistance.

Larry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Fosco of Marquette; his children, daughter, Kelly Fosco and son, Kristoffer (Jodi) Brugman all of Marquette; his three grandchildren, Hunter and Austin Brugman and Bella Kay; brothers, Jesse Fosco and Johnny Fosco; sisters, Sandy Wise, Kathy Olsen, Judy (Larry) Barry, and Sue (Rod) Hanson and also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Scott Fosco, Allan Fosco, and Mike Fosco and brother-in-law, Bart Olsen.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services on Saturday, May 13th, beginning at 10:00 am, until the time of service at 11:30 am. Pastor General Brown will officiate.

A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room. Interment will be made in the Park Cemetery.
