Tyler Wesley Hoy
GREEN BAY, WI – Tyler Wesley Hoy, 31, of Marquette, most recently of Green Bay, WI. Tyler was a Type 1 Diabetic and laid his head down for his final rest on March 5th 2023.
Tyler was born on July 8th, 1991, in Marquette, Michigan. Tyler graduated from MSHS in 2009 with high honors and NMU in 2015 with an associate degree in Industrial Electrical Technologies. Tyler achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Tyler enjoyed drawing- especially birds. Tyler loved to take pictures of whatever caught his attention. He wrote songs and taught himself to play the guitar. He was quiet but would express his opinion or expertise whether asked or not. Tyler loved to tinker with things and make them better.
Tyler was detailed, organized, had a strong work ethic, smart, talented, funny, serious, lovable and I could go on and on. One cannot put into words how much he was loved, valued and oh how very much he will be missed.
Tyler began his working career at a young age selling pop and helping set up the hall for the Trenary Senior Clubs monthly dances.
Moving on to be a dishwasher at Los Tres Amigos while still in high school, a delivery driver and cook at Toarmina’s Pizza while attending NMU. He starting working at Potlatch Industries prior to his graduation from NMU and missed his ceremony so he could go to work. He accepted a position at Graymont in Green Bay, WI, where he was planting his roots and looking forward to getting some birds. Tyler lived close to work so he bought himself an E-Bike and according to co-workers was always modifying it or planning something to improve its performance. He had plans!!!
Tyler is survived by his mother- Rosa Maria (Rosemary) Hoy, his grandmother- Rosa, his Aunt Debbie (Dennis) Hebert, who are also his God parents, his Uncle George (Suzzann) Hoy, his cousins and their spouses and their children. Many others who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in Death by his grandfather- Donald Hoy.
A Celebration of Tyler’s Life will be in early July. An announcement will be made. If you have a memory of Tyler that you would like to be added to his memorial book send them to 155 East Wright Pl MQT. He has, at last count, 9 little cousins (age 7 and under), that did not get the chance to know Tyler as the rest of us have. Tyler had so much living to do, plans he was working on, lessons to learn, things to teach others. I know he impacted my life, I hope he left you a little something too.
Memorials: UPAWS, Type1 diabetic research/education, Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay, WI or Manna for Life Ministries in Green Bay, WI.
