TECUMSEH, MI – Susan Lynn Jennings, age 74, of Tecumseh, passed away on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, at home with her family by her side.
She was born May 10th, 1948, in Ishpeming, MI, a daughter of late Lloyd “Puttoe” and Ruth (Leino) Delorenzi.
On January 28th, 1967, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Negaunee, MI, she married, Alan Wesley Jennings, and they have shared 56 years together.
Susan graduated from Negaunee High School in 1966 and attended Northern Michigan University. She retired in 2003, after 20 years as a Pastoral Minister with St. Paul Catholic Church, in Negaunee. Susan and Alan moved to Tecumseh, where she attended St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh.
Besides her husband, Alan, Susan is survived by her son, Jeff (Pam) Jennings; daughter-in-law, Tammy (Dave) Shay; brother-in-law, Jeff (Michelle) Jennings; five grandchildren, Jalen Jennings, Kobe (Tori) Jennings, Marisa Jennings, Zachary Jennings and Gavin Shay; three great-grandchildren, Logan Jennings, Wesley Jennings and Remington Jennings and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter; Jodi Jennings, sister; Leona Darling and in-laws; Wesley and Virginia Jennings.
In accordance with Susan’s wishes cremation has taken place and there are no services planned.
Inurnment will be in Negaunee Cemetery in Negaunee, MI.
Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
