MARQUETTE, MI – Sharon Lee Rosin, age 74, of Marquette, passed away February 28th, 2023, at home.

Sharon was born on December 28th, 1948, in Marquette, Michigan, a daughter of Edward and Dorces LaMere. She was raised in Marquette and graduated from Marquette Senior High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Rosin, on June 21st, 1967. After the death of her husband in 1976, she then worked several jobs to provide for her two children while cheering them on at their sporting activities. Later in life she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and hunting. She also loved to travel and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Sharon’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon was a warmhearted person who many gravitated to and loved, even many of her children’s friends who would often call her “mom”. She will be dearly missed by many.

Sharon is survived by her son, Wayne (Shelly) Rosin of Marquette; her daughter, Beverly Rosin of Negaunee; and son-in-law, James Jandron of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Casey (Amber) Jandron, Chelsie Jandron, Kaitlin Jandron all of Grand Rapids, Mandy (Donnie) Wiartalla of Gwinn, and Melissa Lehtomaki of Marquette. Her great-grandchildren include, Ryan, Mason, and Weston Jandron of Grand Rapids, Kaia and Harlyn Tucker-Jandron of Grand Rapids, Ean Prahm of Gwinn, Freya Weatherdon of Gwinn, Cameron Egan and Lillian Wanberg of Marquette. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Cherie Connors of Negaunee, Sue (David) Jarrett of Texas, Gloria Haglund of Skandia, Mae (Dennis) Runyan of Wisconsin, Edward (Cindy) LaMere of Marquette, Clayton (Wanda) LaMere of Marquette, and Kathy LaMere of Texas, Sandra (Dale) Longtine of Marquette, and John (Linda) Rosin of New Mexico. She also leaves behind her longtime partner, Gerald “Skip” VanBuren of Marquette.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Robert Rosin, Sr, in 1976; her mother, Dorces; her father, Edward; brother, Kenneth; sister, Patty; brother, Michael; sister, Marlene; mother and father-in-law, Rhoda and Harry Rosin; and sister-in-law, Virginia Wilson and her beloved canine companion, Maggie.

Graveside services for Sharon will be held at the Park Cemetery on Wednesday, June 21st, at 1:00 pm.
