Paula Peppers-Blair

ISHPEMING, MI – Paula Peppers-Blair, age 68, former Ishpeming area resident passed away on Monday, August 8th, 2022, in Erie, PA.

Paula Peppers-Blair born on November 7th, 1953, to Josephine Richards in Chicago, Illinois. During her childhood the family relocated to the Marquette County area, and she graduated from Gwinn High School, in 1972. She then attended Northern Michigan University obtaining a degree in Nursing.

She worked at Bell Memorial Hospital for many years, before moving to Marquette General Hospital, then working at several nursing homes as a Director of Nursing. She retired from Pathways.

Paula loved animals, affectionately known by her family as “The crazy cat lady”. She also loved scrapbooking and would spend hours/days working on projects. She was also a boisterous Packers fan, always seen yelling at her TV on Sundays.

In 1988, she met Thomas Blair and they would marry in 1992. In their free time, they enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with family.

Paula is survived by her children; Daniel (Lisa) Peppers of Edinboro, PA, Heidi (Emily Story) Peppers of Milwaukee, WI, adopted son; David (Melissa) Neuffer of Ishpeming, MI, stepsons; Michael (Ann Marie) Blair of Tampa, Fl, and Brian Blair of Tampa, FL, grandchildren; Katie, Laura, and Daniel Peppers, Caeden Collier, Ruby, Daviyon, Roman Story-Peppers, Dominique Neuffer, Caitlyn Blair, Meghan Pringle, and Nathan Blair, sisters; Rene Korpolinski and Carrie Paltzer and several great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Paula’s family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, August 15th, 2022, at Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming, MI.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am, the service will be at 11:00am, with Rev. Chad Mager officiating. Internment will take place at Ishpeming Cemetery following.
