Richard B. Copley
GWINN, MI – Richard Brent Copley, 52, of Gwinn, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his home, following a medical event.
He was born October 14, 1969, in Marquette, a son of William E. and Nancy V. (Fagerberg) Copley. He was a 1988 Gwinn High School graduate and lifelong area resident.
Richard worked at various jobs over the years, but most recently was employed at Pathways. He had also served in the Michigan Army National Guard.
He was a member of the Gwinn VFW Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion also serving on the Little Lake American Legion Honor Guard. He enjoyed the outdoors and ATV rides.
Richard is survived by a son, Bryan William Copley of Warren, MI; parents, Nancy & Bryan Filizetti of Gwinn; sister, Melissa (Kevin) Koepp of Harvey; nephew, Tyler (Deserae) Koepp of Harvey; great-niece, Dahlia Koepp of Harvey; and former spouse, Kelley MacDonald of Warren, MI. He was preceded in death by his father, William Copley and nephews, Andrew & Derek Koepp.
A private graveside service will be held in the Gwinn Cemetery.
