Geraldine Linda Rosenlund

Born November 9th, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Richard and Florence (Eldridge) Sandstrom, Geraldine was raised in Gladstone where she graduated from the Gladstone High School, Class of 1965. Geraldine was united in marriage to James Rosenlund and together the couple had four beautiful children. Geraldine enjoyed her roles of wife, mother, and eventually grandmother, for to her family was everything. Time spent with them was treasured time.

Her working career began with employment at UPPCO (Upper Peninsula Power Company) and continued with WE Energies as payroll clerk, retiring following 30 years of service. Geraldine was very social, loved being around people, enjoyed her swimming group at the YMCA, playing Dominos with her friends at Lost Creek, and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandson, Carsen. \Most recently, she enjoyed her 75th surprise birthday party and a trip to Florida with her daughter, Christine and family.

Survivors include her four children, Cheryl (Stephen) Corden of Rapid River, Sherri (William) LaVigne of Escanaba, Christine (Michael) Bigger of Marquette, and Jim (Kendra) Rosenlund of Vancouver, WA; 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren; her sister, Carol (Roberto) Cervantes of Gladstone; her brothers, Ken (Chris) Sandstrom of Montgomery, AL and Jeff Sandstrom of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael; her loving companion, Marty Schnoore; her brother, Keith; her parents; and a grandson, Billy.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Fassbender Funeral and Cremation Services on Thursday, June 30th, beginning at 10:00 am, until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Rev. Kevin Taylor will officiate. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room.
