Patricia Elliott

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dick” Elliott, in 1995. Mom was born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Francis and Alice (Viellette-Kerrigan- Steinbach) Haney, the third of four children. She is survived by her sister, Mary Hayes and predeceased by her brothers, William and James.

Mom and Dad raised the four of us in Detroit and Grand Marais, Michigan. They also lived for years in Marquette, while also having their home in Grand Marais. Mom retired from Northern Michigan University in 1993, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Dean of Music.

She was an avid reader and loved to watch tennis. We four children will miss her sense of humor, efficiency, excellent culinary skills, and love for all of us very much.

She is survived by her four children – Judith (Bob) Gilmour, Deborah (Paul) Hunter, James (Karen) Elliott, and Dennis (Cindy) Elliott; six grandchildren – Joel (Tamara) Starr, Erica (Chris) Osborne, Andrea (Carl) Mantecon, Chase Elliott, Jessica (Phil Caffry) Elliott, and Hobie Hunter; eight great-grandchildren – Eliana, Talia, Ariav, Eitan, and Elan Starr, Charlotte and Kelly Osborne, and Camryn Mantecon; and dear friends Genie and John Hayner and Renee and Bob Stocking.
