APPLETON, WI – Susan Kay Gendron, born on November 17th, 1940, in Appleton, WI, passed away on January 23rd, 2022, in the loving care of her sons, Michael and Patrick.

Sue met the love of her life and married her high school sweetheart, Joseph W. Gendron, in a justice of the peace ceremony in Dubuque, IA, on December 21st, 1959. Susan traveled the world with her husband during his time serving in the United States Air Force and had two sons, Michael and Patrick.

Additionally, during this time, Susan worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for Army & Air Force Exchange Services in various locations to include Nellis Air Force Base, NV, K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base, MI, King Abdulaziz Air Base, Saudi Arabia. After working for Army & Air Force Exchange Services, Susan and Joseph made their home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed horseback riding, gardening and fishing, but most of all her family and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a woman who touched many hearts always putting people at ease and bringing smiles to their faces. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. While the world will not quite be the same without her, we know she is now in a better place and she will forever be in our hearts.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Debby), Patrick (Toni); grandchildren, Aiden, Will, Ryan and Eric and sister, Nancy.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gendron; and brother, Thomas Goehler.
