MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI – Dorothy Delia Dauphinais, age 95, of Marquette Township, entered eternal life Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, at Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.

Born September 15th, 1926, in Marquette, a daughter of John and Evelyn (Gustafson) Murphy, Dorothy was raised in Marquette by her stepfather and mother, Rudy and Evelyn Carlson. Dorothy graduated from Graveraet High School and, in 1945, was united in marriage to Lloyd Dauphinais. Together, the couple made their home in Marquette Township, where they raised their family. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved being with people and visiting. In her leisure moments, Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage, watching the birds that frequented her yard, and watching any other outdoor activities. She especially loved sitting around the campfire with family and friends.

A loving mother, grandma, and auntie to many, Dorothy is survived by her children, Gary (Debra) Dauphinais and Patti (Gale) LaCosse; her grandchildren, Keith (Maria) LaCosse, Tara (Dylan) Lapinski, Rachelle (Stu) Maki; great-grandchildren, Britny Feltner, Logan (Hannah Perrollaz) Feltner, Christopher (Morgan) Bourgeois, Jacob and Nathan Lapinski, Blayne, Chloe, Pacey, and Felicity LaCosse; her sister, Betty Gustafson of Marquette; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; and a sister, Gloria Martin.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services on Friday, January 28th, beginning at 10:00 am, until the time of service, at 12:00 noon. Rev. Kevin Taylor will officiate. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room. Interment will be made in the spring at Park Cemetery.
