MARQUETTE, MI – David M. Dausey, 65, of Marquette, died Wednesday evening, December 29th, 2021, at his home, with his wife by his side, from congestive heart failure.
He was born October 25th, 1956, in Pontiac, Michigan, a son of Russell and Elizabeth (Laux) Dausey.
David married, Ann Englehart, in Flint, Michigan, on October 13th, 1979.
He worked in accounting and tax preparation for various local businesses. He also was active in the local music scene working with bands and as a DJ. David served as a coach for the Miss USA Pageant at the local & state level and was active in the community with his therapy dog, Roxy, who was his best friend until her passing on December 15th, 2021. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge DeMolay.
David is survived by his wife, Ann Dausey, of Marquette; sister, Julie Derocha; nephew, Leonard Hebert and his family, Jessica, Abby & Emma; cousins, Jan Broderson and Carol Papaleo; father-in-law, Paul Englehart; sisters-in-law, Virginia Fey, Ann Kohli and Kathy Willis; nieces, Jeanette (Donny) Batey, Lynnell (Greg) Taylor, Renea (Tony) Howard, Leslie (Chuck) Pickrell, Nicole Jonsson and her family, Kris & Will and Carey Willis; nephews, David Kohli and Roy Kohli, Jr; close friends, John Gaines, Tim Prisk, Terry Sharp and Jim Acocks; and pet partners, Sly & Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mothers-in-law, Luella & Ruth; sister-in-law, Judy (John) Gentry; brothers-in-law, David Kohli, Jimmy (Delores) Kohli and Roy Kohli; and niece, Sally.
Honoring David’s request, no services will be held.
