MARQUETTE, MI – Shirley Mae Beaudry, 72, of Marquette, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2021, at Norlite Nursing Center.
She was born September 7, 1949, in Marquette, a daughter of the late Roy and Elaine (Coughlin) Beaudry. She was a 1968 graduate of Marquette Senior High School and was a lifelong area resident.
Shirley served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a dental assistant.
She was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling, playing cribbage and having lunch with friends. She loved cats and always had one as a companion.
Shirley is survived by her siblings, Betty Guidebeck of Marquette, Jeanette (Alan) Dupras of Marquette, Gert (Dean) Van Abel of Marquette, Margaret (Terry) Bray of Oregon City, OR, Sandy (Doug) Robinson of Buckeye, AZ and George (Lorilee) Beaudry of Marquette; and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Babe and Louie Beaudry; and step-mother, Mary Beaudry.
A private service will be held at Canale-Tonella Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Inurnment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
