MARQUETTE, MI – Patricia Ann Lampinen, age 90, of 1822 Fitch Avenue, Marquette, entered eternal life on Monday September 20, 2021, at the Trillium Hospice House in the loving care of her family. Born November 24, 1930, in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Ermal C. and Frances G. (Rhodes) Bennett, Pat was raised in Gary and graduated from Tolleston High School in 1949. She was employed as a bookkeeper in a local bank for several years. In 1962, Pat moved to Marquette and on December 1, 1980, married Richard E. Lampinen.

For over 20 years, Pat was employed as a bartender at Richard Jopling Post #44 of the American Legion. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and worked tirelessly on numerous Legion projects, fund raisers, and receptions throughout the years. In her leisure, Pat enjoyed embroidery, reading, being a bingo participant, playing cards and volunteering.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Louise (Peter) Cheverette of Channing; sons, Michael (Kathy) Lynch, David (Mary) Lynch, and David Lampinen all of Marquette; her grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, and Jacob Lynch, Sally (Umar) Rashid, Jason (Lacey) Schmeltzer, Joseph (Rachel) Schmeltzer, Samantha Cheverette, Nicholas Lampinen, David Lampinen, Jr, and Kimberly (Alan) Papple, Chelsea (David) Syrek; great-grandchildren, Lilian, Iris, Emily, Jacob, Amy, Eeva, Jack and Rudy; a sister, Katherine Olson of Marquette; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter; her infant great-grandson, Michael Schmeltzer; her infant daughter, Mary Frances Lynch; her brother, Lyle Bennett and brother-in-law, Ole Olson.

Friends may call at the Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:00 pm with Rev. Glen Theoret officiating. Burial will be made in the Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Legion Post #44 Auxiliary for the Jacobetti Program. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the caregivers at the Trillium Hospice House for the wonderful care give to Pat.
