June G. Hebert

MARQUETTE, MI – June G. Hebert, age 93, of Marquette, entered eternal life Friday morning, September 10, 2021, at Norlite Nursing Center. For many years, June resided at Snowberry Heights.

Born June 5, 1928, in Big Bay, a daughter of Alfred and Adeline (Beerman) Feltner, June was raised in Big Bay, moving to Marquette, at age 15.

On June 21, 1947, June was united in marriage to Melvin Hebert and together the couple established a home and began raising their family.

Throughout the years, June was employed as a waitress and housekeeper, and her most recent employment was with the Salvation Army as a clerk.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, enjoyed craftwork, and while residing at Snowberry Heights enjoyed Bingo, all the social activities for the residents, and also performed volunteer service at Snowberry. She especially enjoyed time spent with family, especially the grandkids, and time spent with her many friends at Snowberry and in the community.

June is survived by her daughter, Joan (Michael) Koskey of Marquette; her grandchildren, Kevin (Staci) Hebert of Silverdale, WA, Scott (Amber) Koskey of Negaunee Township, and Krystal Koskey of Marquette; great-grandchildren, Danielle Hebert, Alicia Hebert, and Rece Parker; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband Melvin in 1984; a son, Robert “Bob Hebert in 1997; sisters, Marge DePetro, Cora Barger, Martha Kalisch, Cleo Krievi, and Eva Gauthier; and brothers, Robert, Alfred, James, and Oliver Feltner.

Friends may call at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services on Thursday, September 16, beginning at 10:00 am, until the time of service at 11:00 am. Rev. Greg Heikkala will officiate. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room. Interment will be made in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
